My OEM blades have been great... but the truck only has 14K on the clock and sits in the garage all the time. That and we have had almost ZERO rain in the last two years. Are the PIAA blades a direct fit?

Since August 2007, San Antonio has rec'd 24.38" ... the driest 23 month spell ever. Not "almost ZERO", but probably seems like it....

The problem is that most of that came in the form of worthless half inch showers that evaporated as fast as they came down. It's a sad situation here. I sure hope Fall brings rain. Hell, we've even been sort of "hoping" for hurricanes (but we don't want anybody getting their stuff damaged).

Let's see, another week in the 100's and no rain. Yeah, I think we'd all be willing to risk at least a Category 1 or 2 Hurricane at this point.

Now, where are you located, Wayne?? I thought you were fairly close to the coast?

Nope, I'm around N. Austin. There was some rain nearby recently, but not much ended up over here. Just enough to get the truck all nice and dirty. Useless.

Oh, ok.. For some reason, I thought you were down around Houston.

Your rain sounds like what I ran through, Friday night... We've had rain, off & on, for the last two weeks. But, I thought it was supposed to be over, by Friday afternoon... But, another one decided to fire-up around sun-down.. :dunno:

According to Accuweather, the lowest high for the next 7 days up here is 99.. :nonod:

If you are in N Austin, I'm sure you've seen Lake Travis lately (or at least seen it on the news). It's a large pond at this point.

WOW!

Yeah, no kidding. All of the lakes are pretty darn low, but that one might as well be a large ditch! Of course, if these several days of high's in the 100's and no rain keeps up, it just might be. :uhoh:

If it sits inside the garage and doesn't see much sun then I would figure that they are still in great shape. It is the sun that kills them more than anything.

AMSOIL sells the TRICO NeoForm Beam Wiper Blades. I got a set to replace the OEM on our 08 Acadia and they fit just fine. I put a set on the 02 Silverado and they seem to do well. Not to great in heavy snow thought. Found that our this past Feb up in Pa visiting my parents.

Well when it does snow in LA and TX, it isnt heavy, so I guess they would be perfectly fine here.
