Riding dirty!!
''Back in the day'' travel trailers & slide in campers were built with little to moderate concern about how much they weighed.Of course they didn't have the weight saving materials or technics we have today. My old camper was very heavy and needed three extra leaves in each spring pack so it would ride level when loaded. My old '77 did an excellant job of hauling that camper around and a trailer with dirtbikes in it....but,like you said liked gasGood thing it had dual tanks,it needed both

My dads old truck is a 73 but he has a bed from an 80 something truck on it with dual fuel doors, he added another tank on his too. He also rebuilt the 454 and put almost all the internal parts from a 69 corvette motor into the 454. It has a nice cam to it too. True dual exhaust with glass packs.

Good thing it had dual tanks,it needed both
