Does anybody have a reoccurring problem with the defrost blend door in a GMT400 (might be only 95 and up)? Every few months or so the blend door will fall out of it hole on the passenger side, making my defrost vent always open and my A/C constantly fog up the windshield. I have to crawl underneath the dash, take off the floor vent box, and reach up into the duct work to put the defrost blend door back in its place. Is there supposed to be a clip or something on the passenger end of the door so it doesn't fall out? I can't physically reach the passenger end of the door, so I can't put something on it unless I pull the dash.

I don't know Kyle. I never had any trouble with my '99. I'd imagine that there is a clip of some kind that holds it in. :dunno:

I guess I'll just deal with it until I replace my dash. It probably was a clip, I usually find something that fell from underneath the dash laying on the floorboard every so often.

Finally found what was causing this after I pulled my dash.

There was another hole in the ductwork that helped hold the vent door in place, but once it broke loose, it allowed the door to back out of the hole at the end of the duct. Nothing a ziptie couldn't fix, :D!

See I have that issue with mine but I thought the issue was all on the center under the dash with the black vent/air duct...
