The GMC headlights looks way overstyled but I'll hold final judgement until I see them in person. I'm pretty shocked about a new 4.3 though. I know a lot of people thought that but just seemed like it'd be cheaper to use an existing engine (3.6) which is what Ford and Ram did. Not too worried about the 6 speed vs Ram's 8 as its a decent tranny which the Ram's 6 is actually a 5 with two 2nd gears. Wonder what the power and economy figure will be.
I don't see the "refresh." Every panel except the windshield, roof, and tail lights is noticeably different.![]()
800-900: Vastly different style.
900-Whatever this is called: Different but clearly inspired by previous gen.
This quote says it perfectly.
You can be forgiven if you don't recognize, right off, that these are completely redesigned trucks. The changes in appearance are, as GM puts it, "evolutionary." In other words, Silverado and Sierra owners like their trucks and GM designers didn't want to scare them by changing things too much.

Looks like the AFMz will hang around a little longer too....![]()

The 400-800 was about as similar to the 900-whatever this is called. Similar overall silhouette, just mainly detail changes, even though it's a complete redesign.
I like that they've put a body line on this one, but the square fenders and headlights on both are icky. Why the chrome trim on the Chevy headlights?!

Larger controls that are easy to reach and read
Large controls are great and all, but what genius decided to place the 4wd shifter right above the headlight switch and make it the same size and shape????
Also, how often do you use the trailer brake control? Does it really need to be the most prominant thing on the left side of the dash?
A valved exhaust system that reduces engine noise
As if AFM didn't already make aftermarket exhausts sound like crap enough, this really ought to sound GREAT!
They so stole the superduty gauge cluster.
LOL.
