Not a fan of the step bumpers either. Stop making trucks 8' tall and that wouldn't be necessary.

Hey now, that's one feature I do like....makes it easier for we old farts to step up into the box w/o breakin' a hip....

The GMC headlights looks way overstyled but I'll hold final judgement until I see them in person. I'm pretty shocked about a new 4.3 though. I know a lot of people thought that but just seemed like it'd be cheaper to use an existing engine (3.6) which is what Ford and Ram did. Not too worried about the 6 speed vs Ram's 8 as its a decent tranny which the Ram's 6 is actually a 5 with two 2nd gears. Wonder what the power and economy figure will be.

I don't see the "refresh." Every panel except the windshield, roof, and tail lights is noticeably different. :dunno:

800-900: Vastly different style.
900-Whatever this is called: Different but clearly inspired by previous gen.

Give the badge thing a rest. I kept one on my tailgate  Don't think for a second I would keep some thing like that pinned to my fWONking grille.

Hey, I didn't think you'd leave one on the tailgate either. How was I supposed to know the front of your truck was more sacred than the rear?

There is no way I would leave the new GMC tailgate badge on...

:werd: The fender flares have a little different shape but still look similar. The front end has a little different grille, headlights and bumper but still retain the similar shape. That is why it looks like a refresh. Yes, they are all different but "tweaked" from the 900 styling. When they said it's 100% brand new truck from the groud up, this is NOT what I had in mind.

I fwonkin hate that GM piece of shiz... Who would ever consider buying one when they can get a Ford or a Dodge.

Can I have a 6.2 in Black Granite, tomorrow? Or ASAP.

This quote says it perfectly.

You can be forgiven if you don't recognize, right off, that these are completely redesigned trucks. The changes in appearance are, as GM puts it, "evolutionary." In other words, Silverado and Sierra owners like their trucks and GM designers didn't want to mess that up.

Whoa, they really squared up those fenders this time around. It appears the GMC will continue to be the better looking of the two for now. I'm just not feeling the Chevrolet at all. The GMC front end looks good minus the squared off fog light housings.

As with most of these deals, I'll have to see them in person to make a final judgement.

Fixed! :uhoh:
