Yet another example of why you shouldn't buy first model year vehicles from ANY brand.

I have had 3 trucks that were all either 1st or 2nd year vehicles (89, 2000, 2007) and they have all been great. Especially my 89.

I see mr_bots point. I've normally been a guy that would not buy a first year vehicle... but my current truck is a first year GMT900 and I haven't had a single problem in two years and 15000 miles. I may be finally changing the oil.

Fixed. :D
LOL!

I'll be doing the 4th change this weekend. My Amsoil is finally going in. Did one at 1000, 5,000, 10,000... and now 15,000.

I was just pretty much stating that your chance of problems during the first model year are higher. Nothing seems to have really popped up on the current GM trucks which is probably good because GM never seemed to fix the problems with the 800s and just kept replacing them with the same parts (e.g. steering shaft, fuel sending unit, gauge cluster, etc.).

Not bad. I'd feel like a douche just to have the dealership tighten a few bolts on the spoiler though
