I'm now on Medicare,officially old.
Been there a few times,glad I don't live there.Fun to ride the boat over there though.Definitly a tourist trap,good place to party(if you have deep pockets 
),all the bars are walking distance.Food is good

Anybody who can afford to have a car there and live there doesn't care how much gas is.
Not to mention its only a 10 min drive across the bridge to San Diego.
