I just need to take the time to get it set, that little remote is pretty slick. But about every other time I mess with it I get it all screwed up. I need to do it while I'm sitting still reading the manual and not driving down the highway at 80.:uhoh:

Wow I looked up the prices of the gauges and any needed sensors for PLX and Aeroforce and they are way out of my price range. I think all I can afford are standard analog gauges with needles. Looking to go ~300-400 for all gauges and mounting pod. I won't have that much left after I get together all of my other gear for the whipple install!

I hear you. It isn't a cheap hobby by any means. I too thought about going cheap to get me going but I found a little extra money laying around.:D

Well I think I might try to do a boost, tranny temp, and a decently priced wideband kit. Something like the PLX SM-AFR + DM-5 AFR Combo or AEM UEGO. Might have to tweak my budget a little :D. I can get autometer sport comp 2 boost and tranny for about $55 shipped each off of a popular auction site.

AFR, Boost, and Trans Temp

I know someone who supercharged is Silverado SS AWD, and his trans would get get toasty warm on the highway... Since he drove fast... He was winding out 4th/OD

How hard is it to install a wideband? I have to weld a bung somewhere for the sensor right?

Yup, usually next to the upstream O2, or very close by it. This is usually the hardest part, unless you are going crazy customer like :jrod:.

You might want to look at GlowShift also.

They have some good deals on their packages.

As for the over head .. more than a few folks have had issues with the ones that stick to the windshield below / behind the mirror. The heat / cool of summer doesn't do good things for the adhesive sent with the AutoMeter pod. Plus some taller folks have found that it puts their mirror at an odd angle and makes it tough to use.

Of course if yours goes in the unit like Red then that will not be an issue. :)

Im planning on doing a full length autometer triple gauge pod for the pillar, I like the look of the gauges there the best. I hate the look of the pillar pods that are half length, they look too tacked on.
