Gas Door Adjustment

Alright... got the new gas door... sending my old out today. Any advise to get this door to fit tighter? I think my best option would be is to trim down the rubber bumpers just a tad. What yal think?

You may have to bend the arm a bit, or put some spacers, so the hinge is deeper into the fender, if trimming the rubber doesn't work.

... or get a bigger hammer.

Start by trimming 1mm or so off the stops at a time and see if there's a difference...

It looks like the hinge side is sitting pretty close to flush in your pic.

Looks like you're going to have to adjust the mounting point of the arm. Not sure how it attaches but maybe a little Dremel work to widen the mounting holes by 1/4" or so will get it done.

Brian, you might actually just try removing the rubber bumpers altogether and see if that allows it to sit normally at all. That way, you won't have to buy new bumpers if it doesn't work.
