Again? I thought they just installed some cut off switch on all the tracks that was suppose to prevent this. If they went past a certain point and the chutes weren't deployed, the computer would do it for you.... They have had wayyy too many deaths in Funny Car lately.

You'll never make a sport where the cars run 300 plus mph safe. No matter what little nanny devices they install, this stuff can still happen. With a sport like this, a certain amount of risk has to be assumed.

Parker could have been a meek accountant and safety geek, but he chose to do something a little more exciting.

It was too soon to die, but he lived!

I salute him.

I have to agree with what Jim said.
He lived...and died doing what he loved to do.

I am just a mild mannered old computer repair guy...
I would never get on a race track or drive much over 55mph.
