Lower would look cool, but I've ridden in way to many lower trucks and know how they ride. I can still do railroad tracks at 50 mph without thinking twice and my ride is still smooth...

It's my compromise.

I like the looks with the shell a lot, but a nice bed cover would look even better.

Not to agree with rooster, but a nice low profile soft cover may be a nice option. You could hang on to the shell and get a TruXedo lo pro QT. They install and uninstall very quickly.

I had a nice soft cover (Access Lorado) before I had the shell. Not terribly impressed... They aren't all that good looking and they actually offer zero protection. It was a nicely made cover.

The Undercover Flex looks interesting. I like the locking rods to hold it away from the cab when using the bed. It's nice and lo-pro too.

I like that flex, it looks like it's pretty flush with the top of the cab so it won't be like a sail
