Yep, the weight will come off and the price will go up due to the use of composites, just wait and see.

Actually some composites can actually lead to a lower manufacturing cost, for requiring less soundproofing or thermal insulation to be applied into the vehicles. I've already dismantled some old clunkers, and one thing that impressed me was the amount of soundproofing wrap-arounds...
