Ford: Mustang Sales Not Important

They are the best looking of the bunch, they're just heavy as shit and don't perform like the other two in anything short of the SRT.

Myself, I would LOVE to buy a new mustang. They look awesome to me, they sound awesome and I just overall like the whole car. I could see myself on that car.

But there's no way that could happen. I'd be living a lie as I am a die hard chevy fan, I mean those roots are so deep in my family you have no idea.

Like I said I'd rather a corvette than a Camaro...

I just drove a 2011 5.0L Mustang GT, that thing is bad ass, do yourself a favor, go rent one from Avis for the day, mine was fully loaded, and worth the 109.00 for the 24 hour's I had it....they may need new rear tire's now...lol

My Wives is a Pony Package premimum V-6 almost fully loaded and cost about 25K after credit union, x-plan and dealer incentive discounts included!! (belive me with her lead foot a V-8 would have broke the bank already in speeding tickets and worn out rear tires. She already got pulled over for racing once. Thank god we live in small town and knew the cop and only wrote her warning!!

It was truly a very good deal and I was totally surprised when the dealer was willing to provide all the discounts to the Mustang but would not move at all on the Camaro and I have the full employee GM discount available to me....but Gm changed it this year to it's a dealers choice if they want to allow it.

Yes I say dealer because this dealer sells GM, FORD and Toyota. Ford is the lot next door and GM/Toyota are on the same lot

Made for great shopping experiance to compair cars though and use the same sales manager.

I've heard every excuse from "it's the first year that camaros are back of course they'll outsell" to everyones waiting for the 5.0 mustang in '11.

The 2011 Mustang went on sale in May of 2010. In other words...they have been on sale for 7 months now with no appreciable jump in sales.

I am not totaly sure but i don't think the 5.0 was available until late in the year as normal 2011 release. I know when we bought ours in July the V-6 was the only 2011 availble and Ford in way fWONked them selves because on paper the 2011 V-6 was very close match to the 2010 GT. My wife asked why would I want a V-8 when the V-6 is so close in H/P and torque and gets 31 MPG!!

I just sat back and kept my mouth shut and said yes honey your right!!

Happy wife is a happy life and it was her Birthday present.....well just happend to work out that way

I have to wonder if they did a reginal/limited release? I had inquired about the V-8 and in the area we live in (South Arkansas) none were avaialble for delivery in July. They all showed late late August to early Sept. That was when the wife chimed in with her V-8 comment. I never asked anymore about them but I'll bet if we realy did want one then they must have been availble some place. Dallas is only 4 hours from us and I would be willing to bet they would have been there. Intresting......or possible just dealer bullshit??
