I like Broncos from all years. The early ones are cool, but very expensive these days. The last ones from the 90s were the nicest. Nothing wrong with the 302. One of the longest lasting engines Ford ever built (along with the 300 six).

I like them all, but my favorite years are the 66-77's. My least favorite was the 78-79, I can't stand that front end. After those 78-79's, the 3rd, 4th and 5th gens are all pretty equal to me. I'd be happy with any of those.

I would have to argue with that... The 302 can be problematic from keeping it running on all 8 and playing the sensor replacement game...

Big :werd: Even though I don't need one AT ALL, if one crossed my path, in the right condition, for the right deal, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I have always wanted one.

That said; my second choice would be the 78-79. I love that year on pick-ups and Broncos. A couple friends had 460s in their 78 and 79s they had. What gas guzzling behemoths they were. Loved it!

I'll have disagree Brian, I have had several 302's in the past, and never had a problem with anyof them.

Man... all of my 302 Ford truck buddies must have been lying to me. They still swear by them after a zillion miles. :dunno:

Of course some things go wrong with all trucks. I just don't think the 302 was ever a problem child.

That's new to me. I've had a couple, and my dad has had at least 4 and none of them had that problem. :dunno: They all ran like a sewing machines the entire time I had one.

They were. All of them.

Brian, have you owned a 302 yourself?
