It's not exactly comparable to the stereotypical soccer-mom van. For that segment, Ford of Europe has the Galaxy (not related to the old Galaxie) and the S-Max.

Actually Nissan won that contract with New York to have their small van thing the next new york taxi.

Actually it is a cargo van brought over from Europe, over there all their cars are smaller. The current Transit Connect has a lot of European features that are not normal here. First time I drove one it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to roll down the window. then half an hour to pop the hood...damn global platforms...
