Wow, what a rip, but I did get to drive a brand new 2011 F350 King Ranch Dually at work the other day, and it had a sticker of 59,9xx. I didn't really check out all the itemized pricing and what not on it though
Family friend has a 2010 F450 King Ranch, 4X4 Dually...I saw the sticker on it, and laugh.....68,995.00 Fauwk me!!!!
I guess I won't be getting one of them anytime soon,,,

And, as for the 4K for a gear change??? You could buy the whole rearend for that!!! (Best Bugs Bunny voice) There's something screwy going on around here!!

Something werid is going on. $4k for a taller gearing and limited slip? If that is the case for $2-3k I can have lockers and 4.56 put in.

I agree. There is something hidden going on here... a change of other required equipment or something.

It would not make sense for them to use a different rear end housing. I think of it as a way for them to make a few bucks to the unexpected person. And when they see they got $10k off sticker they may really have only gotten $5k.

On the 2011 models with the new 6 sp auto, they are not offering the lower gear ratios on single rear wheel models. They claim this is because of the lower ratios in the tranny. To get lower ratios, it requires a dually, hence the $4k cost increase.

Maybe I am an idiot or something but it won't let me select DRW with the 3.55 electronic locking gear. It will only let me do it in SRW so I don't think that is the case. :dunno: In fact I don't think it lets you select any Electronic locking difs with DRWs.... :uhoh: You can get taller gears on SRW but with limited slip or non limited slip. :(

Mkaes no sense on why a 4.10 limted slip is 4k more than a 3.55 non limited slip. I could see a grand maybe but 4k? I am pretty sure the axle housing are the same. Just a way for them to make a few bucks. Plus now with the EPA rules maybe that is the way the tax you. As the vehicle does not get the MPG it needs....who knows.
