Ford Axle ratio options...

so like i do every year when new models come out, i build them on the sites to see how much i can make a truck, well, on the ford site on the f-350 king ranch, i was selecting gear ratio's, and the 3.55 and a couple other's was over a $4000 dollar option... is this forreal??

There has to be some good explanation for it. Does the transmission and/or driveline components change with those gears?

When I was looking for a new truck if I clicked an option it wouldn't give you just "that" item. It was like several other things changed in order for me to get what I wanted. I don't know if I'm explaining it well enough but anyways.

yeah i see what ur saying... i dont think it did... still had the 6 speed auto trans with the gears...

Wow, what a rip, but I did get to drive a brand new 2011 F350 King Ranch Dually at work the other day, and it had a sticker of 59,9xx. I didn't really check out all the itemized pricing and what not on it though

How long is Ford gonna keep making that truck? It has been around at least since 1999. I'd think a redesign (other than a different grille and some trim) would be in order.
