Exhaust Time

Cody, are you gonna have the exhaust tucked up closer to the body this time? Seems a little low on your old truck.

Are you going with the tips like on your old truck or the ones you posted in the OP with the turn downs?

Oh, and don't expect the MagnaFlow tailpipes to fit right. Mine didn't. They required a little tweaking (twisting since they are 2-piece, and possibly some cutting and re-welding).

i didnt have turn down tips ever posted on here....

and the exhaust will look EXACTLY like on my old truck, and the exhaust was done after the body lift was on, it just looks low because it exitsalmost right after it comes over the differential

i bought all the peices just like i am doing now with my old truck and worked great, so thats why im doing it again

Let me know how it sounds Riggs.

I would love to do something with my exhaust...HOWEVER...I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on mufflers, etc to have my truck sound like it needs mufflers at high RPM.

I like a deep burble...I absolutely despise the crackling pop that you get with a lot of systems.

If you went with straight pipes + an x-pipe you eliminate a bunch of the popping. You would likely eliminate more with dynomax bullets and an x pipe which can all be done pretty cheap.

Thing is though...I don't want it loud.

My truck has an upscale look and feel to it. I don't want to put some low class, loud, obnoxious exhaust on it. I want something that adds a bit of burble to the exhaust...but remains relatively quiet (ie: not much louder than stock) inside the truck. Think of it as a Chris Craft VS a Baja. You can have a nice deep exhaust note without being obnoxious.

And when I say I don't want popping, that's all throughout the rev range. Much like this boat:
