It's just low beams they worked fine before the wreck but i was just wondering if it was safer

and do yall think i should order the relay kit for my hid's when i order new bulbs? its like 12 bucks

The GMT800 trucks already have a stock headlight relay. While the wiring is knew thin, it does work fine. I have had my HIDs plugged right up to my stock wiring for damn near 3 years now with zero problems. And I have taken euite a few road trips with extends night diving. So that means the HIDs were on for 5 or more hours straight, and not a hiccup.

I also have the 4hi mod on my truck as well. If you have not done it to yours yet, I strongly advise you to do so. It is rediculously easy on the 99-02 trucks. All you have to do is ground the yellow wires on the lowbeams. Just cut the yellow wire and attach the side going to the bulb (or HID ballast) to a ground. That's it. You can either ground them right behind each headlight, or do it understand r the fuse panel like I did mine. I found where the two yellows attach to the headlight dealt, and snipped them off and grounded them with a ring terminal.

And yeah, you guys have it so damn easy for High-4 and High-6 mods. I think Kyle (Kyles03) showed me his and all it is is 3 or 4 stinkin' little resistors ran between 3 relays in the fuse box.

Was mine that easy? No way! I had to run all new wires and 3 new relays. Oh well.

I thought you had the wires run between fuses or something.
