I only saw "estimated" power ratings for the 6.2.

One of the salesmen that I deal with at the local GMC dealer texted me this afternoon to let me know they have a '14 in route. I may have to take it for a spin when it hits the lot.
This takes some steam out of the marketing for the 3.5 Ecoboost since MPG is one of the benefits touted by Ford. The Ecoboost still has more torque and marginally more hp than the EcoTec 5.3 though.
The one thing I couldn't stand about the Denali's that we have owned in the past (Yukon & Sierra) is that we had to get AWD since 4WD wasn't an option previous in the half ton Denali's. I'll be all over another one if this is the case.
Surprising that the 5.3 is the standard engine in the Denali instead of the usual 6.2 but good to see they're offering a real 4x4 system on it.
Yeah I was also surprised the 6.2 is now optional.

Can we blame it on CAFE? Maybe next time a V6 version?
Idk who to blame. If you can afford a $60k truck you probably don't care about the improved mileage of the 5.3 over the 6.2. Idk who would buy such a truck and not get the big engine.

people that actually do care about mileage, or about maintenance costs?
I'm just saying if you care about mileage are you probably aren't dropping $60k+ on a tarted up pickup. Maintenance costs should be identical between the 5.3 and 6.2
