Meh, I'm disappointed with how much I got done today. That damn PS pump just took way too much time, and killed my motivation. I am just about done with the engine compartment though, but I'm not looking forward to taking off the t-case. I might have to pick up some ratcheting box wrenches for that one, I don't feel like spending 6 hours un bolting it.

First thing tomorrow, is to pick up trans fluid, and a fuel filter.

Use Dexron VI instead of the Dexron III. Its more expensive, but a much better fluid. So much better that all 2006 and newer GM truck HAVE to use Dexron VI, they were designed for it. I flushed mine and replaced all the fluid with Dexron VI and it seems to shift much better now. (But then again, I did get a Blackbear tune like a week after I changed the fluid:lol:)

Yank recommends against anything but Dexron III or Type F, so I'll run that in the converter, but FLT says to go with III or VI. If I find some VI, I'll go with that.

Well because of the insane fuggin weather (obscene amounts of flooding, downed trees, and downed power lines), I haven't gotten anything done today, except get a quart of Type F for the converter, and 8 of the 11 quarts I need for the trans. It's freaking impossible to find non-synthetic Dexron IV.

Yeah me too...

I'm going to try to get the engine and trans mated together tonight, I just hope we don't lose power while I have my engine dangling in mid air. :uhoh:

The good news though, is that my fortune cookie said that tomorrow would be an important day.
