I sent Justin a text. I'll let you know if I get any feedback. I know he's working with a diesel tuner now and can utilize the autocal

Can I use mine? I don't remember the rules there, or if it was VIN locked to my other truck
Yes, you can use yours. Autocals aren't vin locked.

With a lift pump, and a mild tune, I don't see you ever having issues, but for peace of mind, I would add checking the FPR every now and then.

The DPF system is pretty easy to disconnect... My tank, however, is staying on the truck. I plan on converting it to a water/meth tank, eventually... All the lines are still there, just disconnected.

Your primary EGT sensor is in the down pipe... It'll read a couple hundred degrees higher than actual temperature, because it's post turbo. 1200*F on the pyro is safe.

Awesome, thanks for the info. As for the EGT sensor, what do you mean that it will run higher than actual?
The GM probe is post-turbo... Most aftermarket pyros are in the manifolds.
Manifold reading is more accurate... The GM pyro is usually between 200 - 400 degrees cooler than manifold temps.

Yes, you want it in the manifold pre turbo so that you get an accurate reading on EGT as close to the head as possible.

In our case, the up-pipe is where we want it... We're merging two cylinder banks. Unless you install multiple pyrometers to watch each bank... But that's a overkill for any these guys will do :)

Me, on the other hand... I'm banking on winning the lottery, so I can have daily driven 1200 reliable HP, lol. Billet everything! Mwahahaha!

When I had my 91 Jetta diesel. I put it in the middle of the exhaust manifold when it dumped down into the turbo. I pulled some 1400°F runs, but only for a few seconds.

I had a guy in Canada mod my Bosch pump. Man what a difference it made. That little 1.6 would scoot!

What was wild is my boost was only getting up to 9psi. Once I dumped the cat and opened up the exhaust to 2.5" all the way back from the turbo it jumped up to 12psi. I played around with it some and finally set it at 15psi. That little KKK turbo would screem

Do the ScanGauges have manifold pressure? (boost psi)

I can survive with a close enough pyro. There are 3 things I like to have (well 4) on a diesel when i am judging performance. Years in the dyno room spinning them up after building them has engrained some habits
-Manifold Pressure
-Pyro (EGT)
-Fuel Pressure
-Fuel filter restriction/delta

I don't want to junk up the cab of my truck. Just want a simple way to get these, if I can.

1200 on the pyro seems crazy  I have built some hot rods that would run that, full load, but I knew they would be back next year for new kits

When I was an apprentice, one of the sayings my favorite journeyman always screamed at me was "999 is fine, but at 4 digits your mine!" trying to get me to tune engines keeping them under 1000 degrees on the pyro

Dennis, does anybody cut out the DPF, and just stick a muffler there? Can't seem to find that as a specific part, so it must just be a universal 4", and some band clamps.

You may contact Justin. He said he could probably get the guys at atp to put together a kit for him.

He's considering trading his 1500 in on a diesel also.

I did go to the ATP site, they only had cat-back exhaust.
I will definitely reach out to Justin about the tune. Mu kid has my Auto Cal up in AK, tuning his beast. He will send it back this weekend

Reach out to Justin. He said they may put together a kit at his request. They don't for general public. They may not, but worth a shot.
