exactly what it was...I pulled my stock tune down and got it to them and they had the new one ready to go in about 2 minutes.

Alright, you two... I have read some on the Camaro forums about the TCM's being locked to a particular VIN (and, in the Camaro's case, being un-tuneable without being unlocked).

I had "thought" about buying a spare TCM for tuning the transmission. But, if I can't flip back to the stock TCM and have it work without needing to "re-authorize it" or whatever, what would be the point? :dunno:

Not sure. This truck isn't leaving my possession for a very very long time, so i didn't even look into stuff like using alternate computers for tuning, etc. I'm not sure what the deal with the VIN lock is. It might just be that they need the specific key for your TCM to be able to put the tune on. *if* that's the case, there shouldn't be any reason you can't have the stock one set aside and a tuned one in it.

Fill every tank in your trailer, and head for the steepest grade :D2

I am jazzed for ya, I knew you would love it.
I waited a year, now I am ripping the DEF tank out at my first opportunity. I have 12K miles on since my delete

It's great...with the cat still on and the muffler it's super mellow until you hit WOT...which seems to be happening a lot the last couple days :)

Agreed. Our trucks should sound nearly identical, I imagine. My guys at work give me a hard time, because mine is so quiet compared to their raspy straight piped trucks. I hate the sound of a Dmax with a 5 inch straight pipe and no cat :puke:
