Nothing changed in the tune.

Definitely not a voltage issue as it fluctuates from 14-13.5v. All my injector offsets are giving me the same AFR. So the values and ARF should be correct. What is fucked up is that now I am running fat at idle and WOT, AC on or off. I made some changes and get different issues. Either my laptop locks up during logging or I get an error message when writing. One message ask me to re-credit my PCM another said it fail after writing.

I email Bill at HPT a while back because I couldn't get my RTT to work. Now these issues. I think my HPT interface is flaking out. I dunno yet. I'm gonna check all my wiring and if it continues, contact HPT again for support.

Been a bit slow here, plus I been busy. Bought a house, the slowdown in work, etc..... so Im gonna update my thread/build.

The Magnaflow catback setup didn't last long. The muffler shop that built the exhaust from the LT to the muffler broke within months. The tubing they used was a combo of EMT and exhaust tubing. Another problem was that the back pressure. I would blow the exhaust off at WOT.

Version 2, or put something together because open headers give me a headache and tickets.... I grabbed some dynomax bullets and a x-pipe and quickly put together. This lasted a year until now.

Version 3. Hopefully this is the last time I have to build this. I reused a combination of versions 1 and 2. I reused the 3in piping to a Flowmaster dual 3 to 4 in y-pipe. Then 4in to an xcelerator round 4in muffler by AP exhaust. For the price, so far ,this muffler turned out real nice. After the muffler I reused Ver 1 Magnaflow tail pipe.

So far, I love the almost non-existent and headfree exhaust noise. So far going up to 80mph,there is no drone at all. You can barely hear the exhaust in cab with the exception of the rumble at WOT. I never knew the Whipple had a bit of whine to it either.

I may have to make a small modification on the drivers side piping. It's a bitch trying to get everything lined up and bolted together. This will be cumbersome when I have to service the transmission. Which will be soon, but that's another story. So I will either add in a flex joint or V-bands to aid in ease of dis/assembling. Getting around the crossmember is a PITA.

Don't judge my welding skilz. ...or my ability to get a camera under the truck to get these pics.

So my 1st and 2nd gears are starting to let go due to a messed up tune. I do what I can at work since its been so slow with the oil field and all. Re-wind a bit....A few years ago the shop adopted a cat which took a liking to me. She usually sleeps at my desk and usually keeps me sane. Fast forward again... I left my laptop open while making some changes to my tune. This cat decided to walk across my keyboard changing some cells in my transmission. I didn't notice, saved the tune and loaded it up. When I left work that night my 1-2 shift hit and slammed gears. Since I wasnt logging any transmission parameters, I limped into the closest parking lot. I changed up my logging so I can see what was happening. So, pulling out the parking lot, same thing. I was able to see my line pressure at part throttle commanded the max value. That when I notice the cells with off the wall values. Changed them to where they should be at and tried again. It shifted now, but day by day I started noticing more and more slip on 1-2.

I hate that cat.

So Jakes had a black friday sale and got a real good deal.
