No, what we use is even worse than salt. :( My Ram's undercarriage looks like I park it in the Ocean  The Honda, I swear, didn't even feel like the bolts were torqued enough on the passenger side.

Pulled into a restaurant for dinner last night, started hearg clunking from the driver's side. Thought, "Oh, shit" checked my bolts, found one of the swaybar end links a little loose. Nice and quiet again  On the road in a minute, wish me luck!
Stay safe and good luck!

Made it down here, almost 10 hours on the road. Didn't hit any traffic until we were coming out of DC, a bit more around Richmond. Car rode like a dream, tighter than it's been in years. Splurged on new tires as well. Nothing fancy, cheap Firestones, sorry I don't have time to start a tire debate thread :D

Get to drive back tomorrow, rented a chevy Malibu. Lucky us, it's got a satellite radio:thumbs:

And today I get a phone call. In tears, she tells me she swerved away from a car coming at her and hit a sign. She's OK:))), still waiting on word about the car :(

Well, she's back. Flew down Saturday, drove back Sunday. Virginia traffic was ridiculous, NYC not a whole lot better, took close to 12 hours to drive. The Ol' CR-V chugged along just fine. Transmission still makes a bit of shudder when taking off from a stop, might look deeper into that.

Rolled into the driveway 30 miles shy of the 250K mile mark. :D

Rustproofing might be quite overengineered to withstand the salt mist in Japan :D2

But anyway, I don't understand why Hondas have such a high oil consumption.
