Does this truck look odd to anyone?

It looks like someone did a dually conversion using factory fenders.

The VIN shows it is actually a 2500 (6th digit), there is no indication by the VIN whether it was a short or long bed. It was probably a CCSB 2500 that someone converted. It also looks like the front bumper has been replaced, it could have had an aftermarket replacement or it could have been wrecked.

This is what I was going off of....

I had just looked up the GM VIN decoder. None of the digits indicated bed length or wheelbase. It does indicate that the truck is a 2005 2500 4x4 Crew Cab diesel. Carfax or Autocheck might have more info available, I don't know.

I have even seen errors on dealership websites where they list new trucks as a CCSB or an ECLB for instance, then if you look at the window sticker or the actual vehicle, they are a CCLB or an ECSB. Ford is especially bad about that (at least the local dealership).

Another thing that I noticed that may not be accurate is that these vin info/decoders claim that the truck was built in May of 2002.

Who knows where they get this information from. :dunno:

But this truck definitely earns its title as a odd truck.

It most likely pulls a trailer rather comfortable over the way it came from the factory!

I have seen a couple at airports. They used them for tugs I guess?

Airport support ground crews area able to order them. I will see if I can get a pic of one here.

I always thought it would be a cool tow rig :D2

There are a few quad cab short bed duallys around my area. Doesn't really look odd at all to me.

There's a really good chance they might have been able to special order a 3500 with this bed configuration but doubt there is a such thing on a 2500 chassis from the factory.

The prices seems odd to me. I think they accidentally put a 1 in front of the price. :dunno:

I see them from time to time. They usually have a flat bed on them with a big ass welder and other assorted fabricating tools.
