Dodge Transmission issue..

figured id bring it up. Buddy picked up a mid 90's ram with the 318 in it. Put all new front end stuff on it.. but the transmission is actin weird. sometimes it does fine.. then other times it wont shift outta first. Im not too familiar with dodge stuff.. but it sounds like to me either a PCM issue or an electrical part on the valvebody. I could tell yah all day about the 4l60.. but idk much about dodge stuff. So my question is.. have any of you guys experience this issue with a dodge you may have owned in the past?

NOTE - The guy he bought it from said he had like 3 tranmissions in it and they all did the same thing.. thats why im leaning towards the PCM.

All I know is that those transmissions are notorious for problems!

yeah indeed! Also.. he wants to know where the pcm is.... i have no clue.. never worked on one!! ideas?

I would lean towards electrical problem too, have not had many probs with those around here

get him to check all the grounds could be something simple like that for intermittant problems.
