The Cummins / Chrysler partnership isn't going anywhere thankfully.

I agree with-out the CTD the Dodge Heavy Duty line would be in trouble. They did bench the baby CTD last year. Would have been amazing to see a 4BT in a 1500 or Dak though. I sure hope they bring it to the table soon. Whomever gets the compact / half-ton diesel to market first is going to make a killing. There is plenty of room in the 4th gen engine bay too. (in fact if the sales guy tries to tell ya the extra room at the front of the Hemi is for crash safety he is cute but not a 100% on. The engine bay for the 4th gens was designed when there was still a 4 cyl and 6 cly diesel option in design hence the extra room.)

As for the CTD / Allison combo: it is out there

Now if you do not want to drive an F650 to get the combo  the plate is out there

Just need to source a trans & controller :D

But the new 68RFE have been pretty dang good so far. Seen a vid of one being blown to shreads but the guy was testing a new Smarty load and was running some CRAZY numbers. ATS is has some race / pull upgrades for it already but they are not doing as much to it as they have to do to the 48RE.
