Do you let people ride in the back of your truck?

I have the same position on it as you do Jim. I spent many miles in the back of a truck as a kid, standing up resting my chin on the roof and just having fun. I just couldn't see myself letting my kid do it. Even though it never killed me I just would not take that chance with my little one.

I understand what you mean.

It is amazing that we survived all of the stupid crap we used to do while growing up. :dunno:

Thinking back...it is almost unbelievable what we used to do.

:rollin:

I was one of the original ... "Here...hold my beer...Hey Y'all...... watch THIS" :)

I wouldn't want to have anyone riding in the back of my truck "NOW".
Too many things can go wrong.

I've ridden with you enough times, seat-belted in.. No seatbelts, in the back of an uncovered truck?? :nono:

:jester:

In all seriousness, though.. Would I let someone ride back there on a regular basis? No. Have I done it? Yeah.. Once, when moving a big screen TV... and once for a photo shoot... I didn't like it, either time.

I do only in the campground, around the boat ramp, and stuff like that.

I dont do it often but when the kids are soaking wet and covered in sand or have been riding trails and are super muddy Ill have them sit back there.

Dont love it, Dont hate :dunno:

People ride in the back all the time in my truck. As long as you are 18 and keep your shoulders below the bed rails, it's fine.

Nope. Up here in the Norte... we have things called seats, and if there are too many people to seats ratio... they ride in another car.

Yep. Used to do it all the time as a kid and used to haul ppl in my 90 to the bars all the time( I was the DD) we'd pack about 9-14 ppl in the box and 3 in the cab and do drive by moonings:lol:

They tried to make it illegal here but its still legal for persons over 18, as long as all cab seatbelts are in use, head stays below cab level and hips below box rail level.

I do, but I also have a seat back there. :pfingers:

But if I had a truck with a bed, I wouldn't let anyone ride back there, especially my kids.
Maybe only in an instance like Kevin said, just around the campgrounds back to the campsite or something, but not on a street or highway.
