I wish I hadn't totaled my '72 Cheyenne. That thing would scoot with the 350 I put in it out of a 'vette. I miss that old truck. Keep us posted, as this is by far one of the, if not the best body style of all trucks. :chevy:

Looks like a solid builder, not many of them left that don't have rust in the same areas as yours. Keep us posted, there's a bunch of us here that love that body style.

Progress though slow is still progress

I'll be showing this thread to my son.

The '77 K20 in your sig interests me.....plans?

Im not sure what im going to do with it yet. Its a Silverado Camper Special with the 400 engine. The truck was my Grandpas, and he bought it brand new in 76 and it only has 42K miles on it. . He passed away last year and my father said I can have the truck. Well im getting ready to move to a much larger city and have a lot less room for toys. I want to restore it but im not sure when I will have time, money, or the room for it. After I finish the 69 in the next couple years I will think about restoring it. For the time being my dad is going to keep it at his house.

If I do restore it Im thinking about trying to keep it as stock as possible. The color combo will look pretty good with some new shinny paint. I hate the interior however, its Mandarin Orange. So wen I restore the interior I will probably do a tan, or light gray.

I also might paint it a solid color like gray, then I could do black inteiror.

Like I said im not sure what Im going to do with it. I would like to keep it in the family if I can.

here are a couple pictures:

My dad has a 72 Cheyenne as well with the 350, and he loved it too.

Thanks. Yeah im pretty impressed on how little rust there was. According to the previous owner the truck has spent its entire life in Either Southern Oregon or Northern Nevada and the high desert is a great place to have a vehicle and keep it mostly rust free.

And by the way here is the color we are going to paint it. It is a color im sure has never been done before especially on a 67-72 chevy truck. This is my favorite color of one of my favorite cars I have ever driven.

Cool. Yeah I will try to get both threads going along with the other build threads I have. I'm a member of way to many forums. I will make sure to get pictures of the progress from my paint guy as they come in.

He mentioned to me multiple times before he passed that he wanted me to have the truck. So I'm defiantly going to keep it. Right now it's technically my dads but there is no way I will let him sell it.
