Definition of rip off

so the lid to my center console broke (I have the one that flips up into a seat) and snapped the little plastic peices off I called the dealer here and asked how much just for that part and the guy told me $420 WTF How is that possible heres a pic of it

And I have heard about the ridiculous prices on the center consoles in the past, makes me cringe every time mine SNAPs back. I'd look on ebay, or in a junkyard.

prices are crazy... i warrantied a denali dash trim pieces .. cause they were chippin.... the bill if i can remember was like 2000 for the i think the 3 pieces...
