I would debadge it, then not only black out the bowties but I would also plasti-dip the tail light bezels and the wheels all black.

Plasti-Dip seems to be the new at home powder coat thing but less expensive and easier. Keeping the wheels the way they are. Now if it came with the painted ones then I would consider blacking them out.

I used Plasti-Dip on my emblems and trim and it is holding up fine. Plus it looks like OEM textured plastic.

Yep. Powder coating is expensive, Plasti-dip is cheap. I have seen a few Camaros with black OEM wheels and it looks awesome on a black car. That's why I suggested it. :dunno:
And the good thing about plasti-dip is if you don't like it, you can just peel it off.
And someone on GMT posted about blacking out his tail light bezels (on a black camaro) and it looked damn good compared to the chrome.
Its only a suggestion. If you prefer to only black out the bowties then go that route, by all means.

Well I'm going the black out bowties for sure. The weather is going to suck here for a while, but then it is winter. We have been spoiled with it being in the 70's here lately.
