Glad you found one. Be careful underneath after jacking that thing up on jackstands. Stacked cement wall stone blocks FTW.:)

Scares me too :ohnoes: gonna pick a couple of 6 ton jackstands at O'Reilly's before I get under that thing(don't have any cement blocks :()

Thanks guys  I HAVE A PLAN! I'm going to ask the storage lot people if I can park my RV next to the Expi so I can take advantage of the pull-out awning on it.It should cover all my tools and the back end of the Expi so I can work in the rain.Right now it's a light rain, not too bad...Gotta get this done, can't wait another week until the rain stops.I'll have my genny going for the compressor & coffee maker :D need coffee on a cold day :jester:

Later...

There will be lots of pics :)

Can kill you dead in a heartbeat. Use proper safety equipment and always work with a helper nearby. Hotrodpc damn near got himself killed a couple years back, working under a car with no helper and no stands, just a jack, when the jack started leaking and pinned him under the car as it slowly lowered. And Louis (Lonesome7.3) has had his share of vehicles fall when they were improperly supported. I'm sure both of them will tell you the same thing I'm saying... do it right and do it safe.

No Cement Blocks.

Too many people don't know the difference between a cement block and a cinder block (you probably can), and even a cement block can have weak spots or internal cracks you can't see... until they let go with you under the vehicle. Just not safe!

Now, if you want a little extra security while under there, you can do what I do... after you take the wheel off, slide it under the frame. Now it's out of the way where you won't trip over it, and if the jack or jackstand slips the vehicle won't go all the way to the ground.

The concrete blocks I'm referring to are solid concrete wall stone/caps that are dense as hell, cinderblocks on the other hand can easy crumble. I stacked 4-5 of those under my Saturn and trust those more than any jackstand on the planet, it's so solid the car hasn't moved at all in months. Ask Dan, he's seen them, he'll agree.

The ones I used stacked under my car are wall caps made by techo-bloc, got them from my walkway (good thing I didn't glue them down yet lol). We sell them at my dads wholesale landscape supply company, they're high quality. If you drop one of those from a rooftop they might crack in half, unlike cinder blocks which would totally disintegrate.

IMO a wheel would crush easily under the sudden weight of a truck/suv, especially if it's just aluminum.

So yeah Gramps, DO NOT use cinder blocks, please.
