Gary, did you look at that A1Partsmart posting that the clown threw up? There were Tahoe and Suburban rear axle assys for $200 w/ $100 shipping. I wonder if there were some Expi axles??

Just did, they have one with 135,000 miles on it for $300.I found these on CL...

notice same ph.#

Only problem with getting it from A1 is the shipping would kill you. They are good honest guys.

Yeah, that's the bad side of buying something big and heavy thru the 'net.I'll definitely keep 'em in mind for other parts though

Gary.

go to www.car-part.com and do a local search. They have boatloads of recyclers onboard.

Heck, 135K may not be too bad. Given the mileage of the vehicle, it may outlast the other components ?? Maybe? I am just sure you want to get her rollin' again.

Let us know how it goes, good luck Gary!

That happened to me in a jacked up blazer a long time ago.
I was cruzin along at about 55mph and the pin came out.
Mine hit right in the webbing of the housing and locked both back tires up.
It stayed on all 4's, but the sudden surprise sucked!
