the stares you get from people driving around town like this... PRICELESS. Plus, in CT the mirror laws are either/or for door/rearview, so i'm ok in that respect. it's kind of a gray area to be doorless in CT, but cops have stared and spilled their coffee, but havent done anything about it. ten cops later, im feeling kinda confident about it being cool with them. granted, a dick cop (aka the one in Woodbridge who follows me) will still find a reason, but eh. it's so worth it to watch the "Bro" in the Wrangler with Dubs and rubber-band tires almost crash when you pass him

okay- lotsa work done with no updates, so I'll just list it then post some pics...

Leaf springs: rebuilt my rear packs, added the 2nd and 4th leaves out of a stock XJ pack. Total number in each pack: 7. height added: about 1.5". this leveled my rear out since it had started to sag, and even gave it a bit of a rake.

U-bolts: when repacking my leaves, the u-bolts snapped. so I went to a local spring/axle specialist shop (drooled on the Rockwell axle hardware they had ) and had some beeftastic bolts and plates made.

Rear axle: now has an Aussie locker.

Front axle: diff cover got painted bc it was looking raggy, and has an narchy sticker on it for giggles.

Tires: 33x12.50 Cooper STT's at each corner. FINALLY mounted

Speakers: took the speakers out of the front doorcards and mounted them to a crossbar behind the front seats.

washed/claybarred/waxed it today and took some pics with the new tires...
