Took Fred out for a 250 mile round trip today. Went to see my mom for Mother's day a day or two early. Since I lowered the truck, I've had several people tell me that they actually saw an improvement in fuel economy by lowering theirs... so I decided to check my mileage. Only other mod I've done is a little exhaust plumbing and a new muffler (sounds much better).

I was amazed to see an improvement. Half highway speeds and half heavy traffic in Austin.

Roughly 1.6 mpg better than it has been averaging on the highway and this was AC on and running 75 - plus Austin city traffic.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about how it's easier slide the corpses in and out of the bed now.
