I think it would take a lot more patients to do it yourself. The handle doesn't separate from the bezel. There is a rivet that holds it all together. If you want to give it a try I might consider sending my old ones to you, so you could do the sanding and painting and still have handles on your truck while you work on them.

*** The duplicolor paints probably have a match for your truck.

Did you paint these yourself, or bought pre-colored ones?

Pre-painted, from gmpartsdirect.com.

I been lookin to hell and back for some pre painted ones for my truck. Can't find any in my green color. Even the dealer told me they dont have it listed in the computer.

I even tried searchin ebay and the local boneyards and still no luck. I guess my only option is to get some smooth ones and have them painted.

They do make the color, as I have their little scratch touch up stuff. Its kind of minor painting, and not too noticable if the color is not perfect.

The handles on the other hand will stand out more, due to the size difference. So matching will need to be perfect.
