I've been looking at getting a coil roofing nailer and I'm pretty sure I will get the Bostitch RN46-1. Still haven't decided whether I want new or factory refurb.

Any of you guys have one or any feedback as to quality?:dunno:

You really can't go wrong with a Bostich, but Senco's are excellent also.

But, if you don't do much roofing work, do you really need one that good? You might consider saving a few bucks and grabbing one from Harbor Freight... that you won't cry over when it slides off the roof and hits the pavement. :)

I like buying stuff like this... This is a great roofing nailer and try to buy used or new... I am skeptical about buying refurbished.

I thought about the staplers but they aren't up to code ( well, approved for use) in my area yet. I raised that question with my BIL who is on the city's planning and zoning committee.:dunno:

I would rather stick with a better quality gun even though I may not use it much. I don't usually have very good luck with the cheap stuff.:(

 I have the same issue... I have bought tools from harbor freight and yes they come with a warranty...

But nothing pisses you off more than being stopped in a middle of a project and having to run to replace a tool.

The Bostitch and Hitachi are good roofing guns, they are easy to repair and very reliable.
