



In other countries where a NippoDenso throttle pedal is used instead of that Chinese-made one there were unvoluntary acceleration cases related to the floor mats. The same problem also affected some Ford Transit vans assembled in China. Anyway, that's a reason why I still prefer mechanical-linked throttle pedals![]()
Toyota is just the media's latest whipping post. Instances of unintended acceleration are on file for every manufacturer out there. 99% are simply idiots behind the wheel who get a floor mat caught in the pedal or grab the wrong pedal in a panic situation.
