That is somewhat crappy. At least a die grinder solves it.If you get McGaughy spindles you will need to do a little grinding on them, otherwise a poor machining job by McGaughy will eat up the boot on the lower ball joint. They cheaped out and failed to fully relieve the area where the rubber boot for the ball joint sits. If this area isn't ground or machined down it will eventually cut the boot wide open.

Piss poor QC from McGuaghy if you ask me, but it's nothing that can't be fixed in the garage. Otherwise I have no complaints about their spindles.

Luckily I had read about the problem and seen pictures of what happens when you do nothing about it. So I relieved it before even installing and there is no problem with touching or rubbing.That is somewhat crappy. At least a die grinder solves it.
