Hi guys! If you want strength and a G80. Swap the rear end out for a 14 bolt FF. The G80 in the 10.5 inch ring gear is alot stronger. I have done a couple burnouts in my dually and it held together. Granted I don't do it very often been I have done it. Had to prove my tuned big block has good power.
From what I've heard... No idea if it's true or not, but the 8.5" seems to break the most often...

Yeah the 8.5 is the weak one. The 14 bolt is somewhat bulletproof.
Apparently the 7 5/8" is stronger than the 8.5"
