Based in the same platform of the Chevrolet Sonic, with 5-seater and 7-seater versions, introduced in South America as a replacement for the Opel Zafira and Opel Meriva which earlier versions were still being made in Brazil until the last year. Its engine is a SOHC 8-valve 1.8L which is basically a rebored version of that Vortec 1600 industrial engine.

Soccer-mom vans are not exactly beautiful, but this is one of the most controversial designs from GM in the latest years...

UGLY! Looks like it was designed to compete with things like the Mazda CX5, etc. I doubt it makes it to the US.

5 seater or 7 seater version?? It must really be targeted to soccer mom buyers as only a bunch of kids could get into one of those...

The name Spin doesn't really fit. It looks like more of "Slide". As in slide off the road and roll repeatedly.

Actually the 5-seater is not so cramped inside. But the 2 jump-seats are not so great, altough surprisingly they're better than the ones of the early Opel Zafira which was still available in Brazil until the last year.

Looks like something that does not belong in this country, like a Kia Rondo.

It's targeted to 3rd-world markets, never even expect it to be available back there. It makes the Transit Connect feel like a Lincoln.
