hey guys just a question for ya'll.
I'm looking at getting a cb radio for my truck for when I hit the trails. I'm stuck right now on whether or not to install one or just get a handheld. Now before you say anything please consider what I will be using this for.
I go on trails maybe once or twice a month. If I go with anyone who has a cb they're never more than half a mile away, if that. my main concern is just being able to communicate between vehicles about the trails or when we're stopping.
so is it practical to go through the rigamarol of installing a cb in my truck or would i be fine with a handheld?

btw this will be used to communicate mostly with those i ride with rather than anyone else on a trail. and usually those that i ride with have one already installed on their vehicles

installed, I can help you install it if you want, super easy

I like the look of the cobra 19 like you and ryan have but the unidenpro510xl looks good too. my biggest thing is just making sure the install is as clean as possible and the radio only turns on when I want it to. Would that be too hard at your shop?

Install. With a handheld inevitably when you go to use it the batteries will be dead, or have leaked, the antenna will get bent, you'll forget and leave it home, or it'll get dropped and broken.
