Has anybody with the 6.0 ever run without cats?

Im considering either removing them or boring them out after i had them tested and they failed.

And since they mechanic said it would be like $500 to have new ones put on, boring the stock ones out would be a cheap fix

The smell of fuel on start up. Yes, I'm tuned at stoich. The extra loudness cruising down the interstate. That is due to my exhaust set up too. Im sure I could counter it with a properly designed set up.

I'm LTs to an X-over, bullets, and dumped before the axle. Still better than the Magnaflow kit I had.

The main reason is the smell.

Even though my burb has a 454 I ran without a cat for a very short time and due to the nasty exhaust smell I re-installed the cat,much better with.

I'm current not running cats. At the time I did it, it was a product of necessity. I fully plan on welding in some magnaflow cats in the future I just haven't because of laziness/time. I think the truck sounds good without them but it stinks to high heaven and damn it's loud under heavy load.

People at over work and at the house can hear me about a mile away. There is NO sneaking around with it.

When I had my 65 impala and backed it into the garage. I had to leave the doors open for a while to clear it out. Stank like crazy!
