I have a good friend with a g6 and he isnt to wild about it. i think its given him alot of trouble. I wonder if you could find a good deal on a g8:dunno:

Well the g6 is definantly a chic car so that might be his problem. The g8's are pretty sweet, but I doubt I can get one for under 15k with low miles.

Thought about a ford five star. pretty sleek sedans dont really know much about wellbeing of the car but might be a good look

I have looked at the ford 500's just not a huge fan and they are overpriced to me.

IMPALA!!!!!!!!

-Great used value
-TONS of space
-Reliable 3.5 V6 that's extremely simple and inexpensive to operate.
-30MPG highway with just pushrods and a 4-speed. No turbos, DI, etc to mess around with.

Seriously, the Impala is a great value. They are quiet and comfortable cars that do their job admirably well.

Either that or a Crown Vic. Then you get a proper V8 and proper RWD!

Very cramped on the inside as well...it's a common issue with ANY vehicle on that platform (Five Hundred, Montego, Freestyle, Taurus II, Sable II, Taurus X, Taurus III, MKS, Flex, Explorer, and MKT).

They shouldn't be too overpriced as they never sold well at all (hence all of the redesigns)...but they will be more than 12K.

I like impalas, the wife isn't thrilled about them, I'm going to have her look at some though, maybe I can change her mind. Cant have rwd here in indiana for everyday driver, I would be getting calls none stop in the winter to pull her out.

If you can find one in your price range Subaru's are unbeatable here in snow country. Base model Imprezza's start at 17 brand new so you shouldn't be too far off on a couple year old model. With that said I'd recommend looking south for one where people don't realize how good they are, up here the difference in a brand new Suby and a 2 year old one with 30k on the clock is about $2,000.

Also worth throwing out there, people are giving away saturns lately. My GF loves her Aura and it actually does surprisingly well in snow. Don't take any shit from the parts guys either, parts aren't getting hard to find just tell them to give you the damn part for a malibu and you'll leave.

:withstupid:

Subarus are better than any other Jap or Euro car on their classes. Their handling is really good, I just don't like its 4-speed automatic transmission on the base model...

Oh please...my grandma has been driving RWD vehicles in the MN winters since the mid- 80s.

Two Jeep Cherokees, one Ford Explorer, and now her Rainier.

She can do it!!!!
