Thanks. He is looking for new housings for it. The HID bulbs are so long, that they come within' 1/2" of the lens. That would be a fire for sure.

Any ideas on better/larger housings for these?

We are getting so close on all the rest, man. Then he can get on it. The paint work, is next. Interior is nearly all done.

I see cam, heads, and headers coming this winter.

Then he can sell it to me because he will be a broke ass college student

He should be fine if the HIDs are 35watts or less. Mine are the same way, maybe a half inch from the lense. I have 35 watt HIDs in mine, and have had them for over 2 years like that. If they were gonna melt, they would have melted by now.
