It will be a wasted effort if they are not RWD with a V8 option.

And the only bright spot for Lincoln is their rebadge of the Fusion...which while the sales are up over 31%, they have only moved 16K for the year...or under 2400 a month.

Everything else at Lincoln is a joke. They most certainly are sinking as they have been changed from a legit luxury brand to basically a trim level on a Ford.

Lincoln should have gone the way of Mercury. I don't think Ford is capable of turning the brand around.

You truly need to seek help.

But all of the ones I have driven want to be SPORT SEDANS...and I don't like the hard seats and the rough ass ride they have.
Most of them also have a lot of interior noise, which I don't like.

I want to be able to cruise down the highway, in almost total silence, for 500 to 700 miles a day... if I want to... and still feel good at the end of the day.

The only thing I have found that will do that is the MB 500 series, the BMW 7 Series and the DTS.

There may be others, but I haven't found them.
I took a 300 mile trip in a TOP LINE CTS a while back.
I won't be doing THAT again...
Rough ride and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE seats...:(

I can agree with you there, but have you driven an Infiniti M35/M45? A little bigger/softer driving version of the G sedan. It punches the BMW 745 right in the nuts for cost/value and rides just as nice.

The M45 "IS" nice...
I drove one a couple of years ago.
I need to go check them out better... The MB 500 and the BMW 7 series is out of my price range.
Thanks for reminding me of the M45...

Jim I think you need to check out a Lexus LS. I honestly do not believe and have not been in anything that rides as nice or is as quiet as that car. There is not a German car that rides close to it. That includes the 7 series. The closest thing that MB offers as far as ride is either the S-class or their R-class (that thing is huge!!). The LS is truly an amazing automobile.

If we were not looking for a little extra ride height and the hatch we would still be driving Laurens 03 and the newer ones are even better. With 135,000 miles it still was solid as a rock. Not a squeak or rattle one. No hard plastic anywhere and it is the closest I have come to feeling like I am sitting the couch while driving.

There is a reason all of the auto mags say when they are comparing cars "lexus like ride...lexusesk...rides like a lexus"

The 7-series is and amazing car. I love driving it. Handles like a dream and rides good, but nothing like the LS. Plus the 7-series or S-class is going to base at 90+.

I agree... I haven't driven or rode on one in a LS in 4 or 5 years...
I need to check them out... when it cools off a little bit... :)
You are right about everyone comparing THEIR CARS to a Lexus.

I am in no hurry... my DTS is (so far) doing great.
But the time to do research is when you don't have to get one right now...
Then it is a lot easier to walk away...

The "S" series and the "7" Series are way out of my price range.

That's one month. I want to see year to date info.

The right hand side of the pic "IS" year to date...

Word from Cadillac is that this is the official XTS. Pretty sleek.
