WOO HOO! Caddy is coming out with some brand new rides!

The ATS looks like it might be a fun ride.

I think this is just good for Cadillac. Lincoln is slowly sinking and doesn't appear to be doing a lot about it... while Cadillac rocks out new models. :jester: Yes, I realize that Lincoln is not sinking. They are doing well with the MKZ and sales are somewhat up. I think Cadillac is doing the right thing by coming out with new models and getting more attention in the press. They should sell pretty well.

Cadillac has always had a better selection than Lincoln. Not to mention they update their models more often. Lincoln needs to step it up with the next Navigator. I'm a :ford: guy through and through but I wouldnt go to Lincoln if I was in the market for a luxury vehicle.

Maybe this model would be a good option to increase Caddy's presence in export markets. At least this sketch looks quite "European", makes me remember the Opel Insignia hatchback...

ATS (small, RWD, fun) = win
XTS (large, FWD) = updated DTS

Not that the XTS is bad, from what I've read it's a stopgap for a true flagship (which we've heard before) it just doesn't seem to fit with Caddy's current image. Although I'd say the current SRX doesn't either but it's selling like crazy so what do I know? :dunno:

FWD is not perceived as a "premium" feature, expectable for a flagship model, but it's actually not the worst thing at all. Easier to get a bigger room and a bigger trunk because there is no need for a transmission tunnel and the rear axle design can be more compact, cheaper to convert into limo or hearse since there wouldn't demand driveshaft extension...

Nice. Time for Jim to trade up.

Nope... the small one is only gonna be big enough for a couple of greased midgets... and the so called "BIG ONE" is gonna be smaller than the one I have now.

I like BIG cars...
I won't be buying one of those.
