As far as this corvette rumor, I think they need to start looking towards turbo power. The corvette Zr1 was actually suppose to be twin turbo but the test mule burned to the ground so they scrapped the turbo idea.

There are many ways to deal with turbo-lag and reducing the risk of a fire. I remember to have seen some years ago a ceramic-compound turbocharger, and also some ceramic coatings to the exhaust manifold that were used in the Swedish Koenigsegg to reduce the risk of a fire and allow it to have a more compact design.

It is pointless...

just continue to stick a decent sized V8 in it and all will be well, we can enjoy the beautiful sound it makes and all the little children will sleep peacefully... :thumbs:
