I bet twin-turbo will appear instead of the supercharger currently used in the ZR-1, but honestly I'm still not so sure if the C7 will turn to DOHC heads and high-revving (since the engine will also be used in large sedans and trucks, and the Vette is NOT European). Maybe a 3-valve OHV head, but direct injection is long waited.

I doubt a 3 liter v8 will take very long to build boost.......:uhoh:

But the article says it will be a 10,000 RPM engine...
No way will that be a good street engine....
Almost no torque at low RPM.. and probably a real DOG till you get to at least 6,000 RPM or better...

No thanks... just give me a decent sized V8 with both TORQUE and POWER...and I'll be happy.

I don't want no 10,000 RPM sewing machine engine in a Corvette... :( :( :(

It will be a high-revving engine, something like two Suzuki Hayabusa engines bolted together. Not the best deal in my opinion, because for high-revving it would sacrifice a considerable amount of torque for power. Then with the twin-turbo setup and not too many RPM there would be actually a nice engine, but I would still not expect to see it in a Corvette.

BTW what about that 2.2L twin-turbo V6 under development to be used in Indy? Maybe a street version wouldn't be so bad into a Camaro...

So stupid. If they want to sell 'Vettes to the atypical 40-50 year old man with good credit and a mid-life crisis, they need 500+ cubes, and 600+ HP in a smooth, streetable package. Strap on some GMPerformance noise makers, and I may just buy 2.

Hellz yeah. You can be my bodyguard, and line up my hookers and blow.

When I do a mid-life crisis, I don't skimp on anything.
